Removing Lipstick Stain

If you get lipstick stain, apply hairspray liberally to the spot and let sit for 10-15 min, then remove with a damp cloth.  Wash clothing like normal.

Cleaning Brass

I use a mixture of vinegar and ketchup to wipe the brass which cleans it up and restores a lot of the shininess.

Removing Adhesive

To remove adhesive from an item just immerse the item in mayo for 10-15 minutes and clean off.  If their is a lot of adhesive you might need to immerse the item longer.

Making Lists

I have been reading an e-book about the habits of the wealthy, and one of them is a list of things to do for that day, week, and month.  It needs to be realistic daily list and effective people get 70% or more of their list done.  I have been trying it out and like how it works, whatever I don't get done for the day, I put on the next days list.  Try it out and see if it works for you.

Cleaning Toilet Bowls

Let a little bleach soak in the bowl overnight, breaking down the grime, to make the cleaning easier the next day and less scrubbing.

Fluffing Older Pillows

Put the pillows in the dryer for a few minutes (adding tennis balls for hard pillows to beat them while they fluff to soften them up).

Lint Rollers are the fastest way I have found to clean around a lamp shade without taking the shade off the lamp.

Sticky shelves/counters

Do you have sticky shelves/counter areas that are hard to clean from jelly, honey, etc.  If you put a coaster underneath, instead of trying to clean the shelf or counter in weird places and contort your body to clean.  Just pickup the coaster and clean in the sink.  Same concept with candles - instead of candle wax dripping on my table, I put a pot holder or plate underneath the candle, and no wax on the table/counter.
